Do volume measurements in recipes account for the residue left behind in container?
stratmagic asked:
When measuring eggs, honey or other ingredients that when poured, leave residual ingredients behind, do recipes take this into account? So, when I measure similar ingredients I over measure to compensate for this subtle loss.
In faster paced cooking, I don’t always have time to scrape the pitcher out, so I empty the best I can and resume mixing. This is just one of those things I ask myself in my horribly dull job.
