Good recipes for a wedding reception?
Thursday, June 26th, 2008Jenna F asked:
I’m trying to plan a wedding for my little sister, and we’re running into some budgeting issues. I’m wondering if anyone has any creative recipes that we can prepare for the reception instead of hiring an expensive caterer. We’re fairly good cooks–just not experienced with making “party” types of foods.

There will be about 40 at the reception. I’ll mostly be handling appetizers, finger foods, and deserts.
does anyone have diabetic recipes for cupcakes and frostings?
Tuesday, June 24th, 2008dinger asked:
I just got my pancake puff pan, and want to make little cupcake balls with frosting in them. My step dad is diabetic, so I need recipes. I know I could get these online, but I am looking for preferences and recommendations.
Sorry, but I cant decide on a best answer, so I will just have to let you decide.

Does anyone know any good recipes with chocolate?
Saturday, June 14th, 2008CeCi asked:
My favorite right now is one called death by chocolate. This is how you make it. You get a bowl, and you put in a layer of chocolate pudding. Then a layer of chocolate cake. (No frosting!) Then another layer of chocolate pudding. Then another layer of chocolate cake. (Again no frosting!) Then you put on a layer of whip topping. Then you sprinkle it with chocolate sprinkles. Mmmmmmm very good. But does anyone have any other good chocolate recipes?

What is a good but SIMPLE cookbook that has easy simple recipes?
Saturday, June 14th, 2008MiM asked:
I’m trying to find a cookbook that has lots of easy, simple, and good recipes. I’m tired of seeing recipes with a bunch of weird titles like “Best Butterball Brownies” or “Cajun Chilled Chicken.” I just want a recipe that has straightforward simple recipes like basic recipes for things, like “oven roasted chicken” or “homemade brownies” none of that other mumbo-jumbo. I know sometimes the cookbook authors just make the names up but sometime the recipes are really out there too. Any ideas on a great simple cookbook?

Does anyone have any ideas about how to best store and organize recipes that have been clipped from magazines and coupon circulars? I need easy access. I’ve been thinking about putting them in a scrapbook or album with tabs.
Are there any specific products on the market for this purpose? Thanks.
