Do you go by cook books or recipes handed down from family and friends?

I enjoy the recipes handed down more, but one of favorite cookbooks is the 4 ingredient cookbook. Talk about saving time! When we have church dinners, we have wonderful desserts with ingredients you might not think about like 7-UP or Mountain Dew.
Lets have that recipe for potatoe wedges!

Do you suggest any recipes that are limited mostly to these ingredients? I’m craving something sweet, of course. :)
And NO eggs or egg substitutes.

When measuring eggs, honey or other ingredients that when poured, leave residual ingredients behind, do recipes take this into account? So, when I measure similar ingredients I over measure to compensate for this subtle loss.
In faster paced cooking, I don’t always have time to scrape the pitcher out, so I empty the best I can and resume mixing. This is just one of those things I ask myself in my horribly dull job.
