I have a couple of pints of preserved figs and I’m looking for some simple recipes where I can use them. I’ve looked online for fig bars and such and most of the recipes call for dried or fresh figs. I also have a bunch of pecans I would like to use, so any recipes that incorporate both of these ingredients would be great.

Firefly asked:

I recently bought several jars of apricot Jam (on sale) and now I’m trying to figure out what to do with all of them.
Any good recipes using apricot Jam that might be tasty?
I’m interested in any sort of recipe, main dish, dessert, etc.
Thanks.
Anything without pork! I don’t eat it, thanks.

Josh asked:

Right now I can make some fabulous PB fudge out of only 2 cups sugar, 1 cup peanut butter, and a cup of milk. Probably the simplest peanut butter recipe anyone could get. I would love to get some other recipes, and make my fudge super fabulous, maybe get it to taste like Macinaw Island PB fudge, ooohhh…so delicious!

I’ve been making a lot of meringues and things that use egg whites recently. Does anyone have any good recipes (besides mayonaise) that use just the egg yolks?
While the sauces are nice, I like the idea of making custard the most. I was looking for something that could be made by itself and this is a good idea, just the thing I was looking for. While I’m a fan of souffles in this case I was looking for something that would use just the yolks. Thanks for the ideas.

I’m looking for a site that has a large database of recipes and information about cooking. It would also be nice if it had like a message board and stuff too. I know there’s Yahoo! Food and their partners that supply recipes but i just don’t like yahoo’s set-up.
